About Us
After graduating from CSULB, Greg worked in the private sector for such major corporations as Purex Industries, Times Mirror, Burlington Air Express and Nissan. The various jobs performed at these companies included corporate income, sales and property tax filing in addition to preparing a variety of financial, informational and license filings required by the 50 states to do business within their boundaries.
While working in the corporate environment he established and maintained a small tax preparation service, keeping up with continuing education requirements necessary for licensing purposes. In order to fulfill his goal to become self-employed by age 50, Greg decided it was time to expand his experience as an entrepreneur and build his tax practice into a full time enterprise. On June 1, 2001 Greg left his corporate job and formed GregCashTaxPlus.
Being licensed by the IRS requires that Greg receive 72 hours of continuing education over a 3 year period to keep his license current. He belongs to the California Society of Enrolled Agents and the National Association of Enrolled Agents, both requiring the completion of 30 hours of continuing education annually. Greg has a vested interest in keeping apprised of current tax law changes, at both the state and federal levels. His clients, in turn, benefit from his many years of experience and continuing education in the field of taxation.
